Wizard of Oz Pics

Wizard of Oz Pics is what was on my mind when I started at the last jobsite where I worked. I had been there less than a year. The direct supervisor there was very interested and helpful when it came to my artwork. One day, she told me about a home show type of event that would be going on within the state service, but not in the branch where we worked. It sounded like a potential outlet, so I checked into it!

It was really quite the experience, setting up my art work in a prison. There was an inmate, Duane, to help transport my wares to my booth. I did it anyway, though. How could I resist when the theme of the show was 'There's no Place Like Home'?

That was the first and last time (I hope), that my booth was ever set up in a prison. Yes, I did take some ribbing over it, but all in good humor!

About a year later, this same supervisor told me about the upcoming annual OzFest in Chittenango, N.Y., and how my art work should be in it. I looked into it. Yet another way to supersize the Wizard of Oz Pics! I exhibited, and it was fun! But by this time, I was well on my way to a further reaching subject matter, and somewhat unwilling to devote more time in the merry old land of Oz...

I had stayed too long, and was singing like a munchkin.

Even though I feel at this time that my art work with the great wizard and his realm is over, it was some of my best yet. It was a wonderful Wizard of Oz place to start! There truly is no place like home!

These original paintings, not copies, are for sale. The price range is $100 - $200 for the paintings you see on this page.
