There are some days when it doesn't even matter to me what type of animals it might be, just anything created by mother nature is good, but my favorite subjects for reverse painting on glass come from wild animals, more specifically, the cat family.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! might be my very favorite subject to paint!

When I begin a reverse painting on glass of wild animals, it always occurs to me that there is going to be a relationship, or a 'family' relationship when there is more than one animal in the painting.

In addition to my soulmate and myself, there are three cats and a dog who reside in this house. There are relationships all over the place, between the cat family, each cat and the dog, the dog and each of the people, the dog and each of the cats. It just gets so complicated!

Grizzlies, a Reverse Painting on Glass, in a window sash. It already sold, and I miss them!
Love, hate, indifference? The relationships are there, and should be included in the reverse glass painting.
You may have noticed by now that some of my paintings are completed in window sashes. These are painted backward on the back side of the glass, just as a reverse painting on glass would be. There's a lot more work in restoring the sash, but there's also a built in frame!
